Poly Shield Technologies Inc., has Begun Assembling an Engineering and Scientific Team for the Company’s Research and Development Facility Scheduled to Begin Operations by Year End in the British Virgin Islands.
By 2015, the 65,000 vessels using the busiest waterways in the world, including the coastal waters off the United States and Canada, and the Baltic and North Seas, will be required to lower the sulfur levels in their exhaust emissions drastically or face enormous regulatory fines to comply with the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) 2015 exhaust emissions regulations.
The maritime industry has few options available to meet these IMO emissions regulations. A vessel can use very expensive low sulfur marine fuel on an ongoing basis; choose to install exhaust scrubbers, which can cost the vessel up to $30 million and require months of expensive dry-dock time; or can install the new DSOX-15 Fuel Purification System from Poly Shield Technologies Inc.
Compared to currently available exhaust scrubber technologies, the DSOX-15 Fuel Purification System requires no dry dock time, is at least 10 tons lighter and costs up to 75% less. As a result, we strongly believe the DSOX-15 Fuel Purification System is the best option available on the market today for achieving IMO low sulfur exhaust emissions compliance.
